Balanced Design

The design of a service for each new business functionality is a challenging balancing act in order to ensure not only that the functional requirements are met but also that the performance targets are achieved. A development manager primarily has to keep the following three factors under control:

  • Functionality with the required quality
  • Resources, i.e. staff, technologies and available finances
  • Timetable
